THE Airecentre Pacers had some high-class representation at the Thirsk 10-mile Road Race, with the ever-reliable Andrew Smith coming 22nd in a strong field of 962 runners.

Smith finished in an impressive 57 minutes and 16 seconds to secure a personal best time, while race winner, Graham Rush (Leeds City AC), finished in an incredible 51:44.

Local Parkruns operated as normal, with Owain Gwilym (20:44) and Jaqueline Reid (31:02) competing at Bradford's Lister Park.

Pacers Megan Dennison (28:39), Andy Gledhill (32:16) and Cath Tindall (35:13) ran at Leeds Woodhouse Moor and Helen Illman took on the hilly four lap Skipton Parkrun course, finishing fifth lady in 24:07.

Finally Debbie Bland, making a welcome return from a three month injury lay off, completed a very muddy Harrogate Parkrun course on the Stray, winning her age group with a time of 29:46.

These could be the last Parkruns seen for a while in the UK, as the Government introduces stringent measures to combat the developing coronavirus crisis.
