THIS summer Otley Golf Club will stage a 2020 qualifying event for the Junior European Open on Sunday, July 26.
Otley have staged a qualifying day for the Junior European Open, sponsored by Sky Sports, for the last two years and Otley player Alex Harm will once again be working hard to secure a place in the finals week at the Alcaidesa Links Resort Golf Club in Cadiz, Spain, in November.
Harm is one of six junior ambassadors who promote the event throughout the UK and Europe.
Sky Sports golf presenter and Junior European Open ambassador Nick Dougherty, who played in the event at age 13, said: "The Junior European Open was a big part of my journey as a junior golfer."
Justin Rose, Luke Donald, Georgia Hall and Bronte Law have all competed in the Junior European Open.
The Junior European Open, now in its 28th year, is widely regarded as the toughest test in junior golf and is the most accessible and keenly contested junior golf tournament in Europe.
Junior golfers who would like to play on that day can register golforganiser.com
