SKYRAC AC athletes took a host of medals at the final West Yorkshire Cross Country League race in tough conditions at Cleckheaton.
For the junior boys, Abdimajid Darood stormed to first place by 18 seconds in the under-15 boys’ race, while Jacob Palmer finished third in the under-11 boys’ race and Theo Jacques claimed second in the under-17 men’s race.
For the girls, Charlotte Rawstron claimed another second place finish in the under-15 girls’ category.
In the senior races, Charlotte Slack finished 11th overall woman in 22.25, closely followed by clubmate Amy Hartley in 12th place in 22.37.
For the men, Chris Dove was first home for Skyrac in 34th place in 36.24.
With all four races in the league now complete, Skyrac also scooped up several prizes for the overall West Yorkshire Cross Country League series.
Palmer took third place for the under-11 boys, Darood took second for the under-15 boys and Jacques also took second for the under-17 men.
Rawstron claimed second place for the under-15 girls, as did Amy Hartley for the under-20 women.
In the senior women’s category, Slack agonisingly missed out on third place overall by just one point after a superb series.
And in the senior men’s category, Andy McCue took third place for the M45 age group.
In the team prizes, Skyrac also claimed third place for the under-15 girls and second place for the under-17 men.
