Newcastle are ready to unleash Andy Carroll against Albion.
The 30-year-old striker could make a second debut for Toon when they face the Seagulls tomorrow.
Carroll last played for former club West Ham in February and later underwent surgery to address a long-standing problem.
He has trained all week with the Magpies, who he joined at the end of the summer transfer window, and is ready to resume his career.
Speaking this morning, head coach Steve Bruce said: "As long as he comes through today okay - touch wood, he'll come through today okay - but yes, he will be involved, which is good news for all of us.
"At the top end of the pitch, him and Allan Saint-Maximin as well, we have been a little bit short - and Dwight Gayle is another one - so we have had limited options up top, but certainly the return of Andy and Allan give us something which obviously can only benefit us."
Carroll started for the Hammers at home to Albion in January but was largely ineffective and was taken off at half-time.
