ILKLEY Cycling Club's Jim Adamson was promoted to second Cat Racer following his second win in two weeks at the Brownlee Circuit Races.

Last week he forged ahead of the bunch in a two man breakaway move, but on the last lap his breakaway partner put in an attack and gained a gap.

Adamson dug deep , catching up the attacker on the final corner and passing him at speed to take a fine win.

Ilkley Cycling Club had 14 finishers in the classic Three Peaks Cyclo Cross, cheered on all the way by a large club supporting group, in the event which was held in slightly damp but largely fair and mild weather last Sunday.

Rob Jebb of Hope Factory Racing added another victory to his long list of successes in the Peaks.

Notably in fourth place was Australian World Tour Pro, Lachlan Morton of Team Education First Pro Cycling.

Leading Ilkley rider and receiving the Eric Stone Trophy was Dave Wilby, with a fine performance, whilst first Ilkley woman was Nina Benson who is making a regular occurrence of strong performances in The Peaks.
