SALTAIRE cruised to a six-wicket victory against Calverley St Wilfrids to win the 20/20 Awards Galore Cup at Nethermoor on Sunday.

Saltaire, captained by Usman Munir, were in fine form with both bat and ball coming off an upset loss to Ben Rhydding in the league on Saturday.

Munir put Calverley into bat, which looked a great decision as bowler Mohammed Nadim (5-18) ripped through the Calverley batting order.

Only Vishal Shaw and Tom Westerman, who each had knocks of 22, were able to put up much resistance as Calverley scored 109-9 in 20 overs.

After losing both openers cheaply, Saltaire's batsmen went to work against the Calverley bowling attack, as Amjid Hussain (33), Mussawar Shah (26no) and Aftab Khan (24no) all played some big shots for Saltaire (110-4), who knocked off the total in 17.3 overs.

* Otley II put in a comprehensive performance to win the Birtwhistle Cup, beating Bilton II by five wickets at Nethermoor on Sunday.

Otley's bowling attack, led by a great spell from George Eley (4-13), saw Bilton scored just 79 runs before getting bowled out in the 19th over.

Opening batsman Jack Martin got Otley's innings off to a great start, as he top scored with 31 off 41 balls.

His first-wicket partnership of 38 with George Huntley (14) set a good platform for Otley, and Sam Kellett then hit 24no to take Otley (80-5) over the line in the 18th over.
