OTLEY AC's Caroline Marler competed in the Northern Masters Athletics Championships on Sunday, and as the only W65 in the 100m, 200m and 400m she brought home three gold medals.

Her impressive sprint performances saw her clock times of 16.3 seconds in the 100m, 33.7 seconds in the 200m and 79.9 seconds in the 400m.

Three Otley AC runners completed the Staveley Stampede, also on Sunday.

The route is a reasonably undulating multi-terrain course in a circular lap to the west of Staveley near Knaresborough.

The ground was dry and the paths well beaten so the going was good.

Howard Jeffrey finished 67th in 48.00, three minutes slower than last year which he expected.

Andrew Grant of Harrogate Harriers won the race in a time of 33.23.

Fellow Otley AC finishers were Emma Robinson 53rd in 46.57 and Phil Robinson was 103rd in 52.14.
