BRAMHOPE-based West Park Leeds Girls Under-13s won the Yorkshire Cup for the second year running.

This season the girls have played 32 games, won 31 and drawn one. Having been undefeated all season, they were keen to retain the cup

In early April, eight teams from across Yorkshire came together to battle it out for the cup at Pocklington RUFC.

In their pool games, the West Park Leeds girls played three, won three conceding only one try.

In the final, they faced a strong side in Old Crossleyans, but with true grit and determination, the girls dug deep and were victorious, winning with an impressive three tries to nil.

Coaches Ian Simons and Dave Partridge said: “The girls are so keen to develop their skills as well as learning new ones. They have been such a pleasure to coach and as a group we have had so much fun on our epic journey this season."
