TWO swimmers from Ilkley and one from Menston won medals when the City of Bradford Swimming Club competed in the Harrogate Janus A and B Grade Meet at Harrogate Hydro in early January.
Holly Vasey of Ilkley won A grade silver and bronze medals and a B grade silver.
Jakub Marszewski, also of Ilkley, won an A grade bronze as well as B grade gold and silver medals.
Menston's George Smith won an A grade silver medal.
As a team, the City of Bradford club won 27 A grade and 20 B grade medals.
The meet was a good introduction to competitive swimming for some of City’s emerging swimmers and produced a host of personal best times and Yorkshire qualifying times.
All of the above swimmers train with Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme under the guidance of coaches Andy Pearce and Sarah Fisher.
