THE Airecentre Pacers men dazzled this week, with Andrew Humphries showing what he was made of by coming a speedy second in the Running Grand Prix Marathon at Oulton Park.
Humphries ran a blisteringly quick personal best of two hours, 57 minutes and one second to take a well-deserved runners up spot, only missing out on first place by five seconds.
Andrew Smith, meanwhile, proved his mettle in Lancashire. Smith ran in the Myerscough 10-Mile race and was hot on the heels of the top 10 runners, achieving a highly impressive 11th place in a time of 1:11:11.
The Lancastrian theme continued as Nick Leathley continued his year of long distance racing by competing in the 3-1-5 Lancaster Half Marathon.
Leathley battled bravely against the wind and rain, with the V55 runner attaining a good time of 1:48:49 seconds to come 73rd overall. He also received a rather impressive finisher's medal as a result.
