JAMES Dabill claimed the British championship trials crown in Scotland.
Third place was good enough to clinch the R.T.Keedwell British Trials Championship for Cookridge Beta UK teamster Dabill on Sunday.
He did not stay for the final event on Sunday at Dunlop, East Ayrshire which was won by Dendy Dale's Jack Price who clinched second place in the series.
Truro Montesa international contender Toby Martyn won Saturday when Price slumped to fifth place but the Gas Gas teamster bounced back on Sunday heading Martyn and Kirkbymoorside challenger Jack Peace. A win and runner-up in the Expert class won Leyburn joiner Richard Sadler the title from Faceby's Guy Kendrew. Bradford youth Charlie Smith missed the events but still claimed fourth place in the final count End.
