ILKLEY orienteer Laura King beat all her rivals to win the senior home international event on Saturday.
This annual competition sees the top competitors from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland compete in long distance and relay races.
This year the event was held on a unique area of former mining moorland above Burnley. Rain, an early start and the difficult terrain were no obstacle to Laura.
She took four minutes off her nearest rival, winning comfortably and helping England to an overall victory with Scotland in second place.
Laura moves up to the top 21 elite class soon and, on the back of this result, will be confident about making the full GB team.
