Hampsthwaite United 7 Ilkley Dynamo 0
DYNAMO had beaten their opponents in both their previous meetings, but this time they suffered their heaviest defeat of the season.
The home side dominated the early stages of the Harry Nicholson Trophy clash and were soon four goals ahead on their 3G pitch.
Another three goals after the interval gave Hampsthwaite a comprehensive and well-deserved victory.
Three Dynamo players received cautions as they all continued to work hard in an attempt to make some progress on a fast and difficult surface.
The Dynamo keeper David Freer made some heroic saves and was deservedly awarded the man of the match.
Without his sterling efforts, the scoreline would have been much greater. The home side were always in control, particularly in the later stages of the game.
