BEN Rhydding Bowls Club is preparing for the start of the new season.
The club, which was founded in 1945, has five superb flat green lawns and a modern clubhouse.
Currently it has 50 playing and social members it is one of the six sections of the Ben Rhydding Sports Club.
The 2017 season starts on Saturday, April 1 with social play thereafter on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1.45pm to 4:30pm and also on Tuesday evenings from 5:45pm until dusk.
Matches in the Harrogate Ladies League and the Dalesman League are played on Wednesday afternoons against teams from Bishop Monkton, Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Kirby Malzeard, Ripon and Wetherby with an occasional friendly on a Sunday afternoon.
Membership is open to everyone aged 8+ and visitors are welcome.
Bowls may be borrowed, but flat soled shoes – not trainers – must be worn on the playing surfaces.
The adult membership subscription rate is £60 per annum – reduced to £30 in the first year – it is £5 for social membership and £3 for visitors.
