Guiseley have added to their squad by signing 24 year-old right-back Connor Brown.

Sheffield-born Brown came through the ranks at his home town club Sheffield United but left without making a first team appearance.

He was then signed by Oldham Athletic and in his first season made 29 appearances for the club.

In May 2013 he was rewarded with a one year option on his contract being exercised.

At the end of the season he was offered a new contract but was seldom in the starting line-up and after loan spells with Eastwood Town and Hinckley United he joined Carlisle United on loan in November 2014. He played nine games before returning to Oldham in January 2015.

In August 2016 he had his contract with Oldham mutually terminated after making 101 Football League appearances for Oldham.

Guiseley manager Adam Lockwood said: "If a player becomes available and we feel that it will strengthen our squad then we are interested. We want to make our squad as strong as possible for the challenges ahead and Connor comes in with a good pedigree.

"We have had a few injuries of late, especially in the right-back position with Danny East and then Javan Vidal missing and Connor's signing helps us to strengthen in that area."
