YEADON-Guiseley member Sam Yeadon was pipped for victory on the championship course at West Leeds Motor Club's Nutexa Trial at Addingham Moorside on Sunday.
Light rain and cloud at the start, and a few sunny intervals afterwards, meant that the observers were too cold, while some riders were too hot!
Taking things steadily and going round near the back paid dividends for Sam Beecroft-Penny, who lost only six marks.
Sherco competitor Yeadon was also at the back of the field, typically checking every possible section line that may yield a result.
West Leeds head back to Addingham Moorside on Saturday, August 8 for the Steve Walker Memorial Trial.
