DUE to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak Bradford Council has closed all eight of its Household Waste Recycling Centres, including Golden Butts in Ilkley, until further notice.

Bulk waste collection will run for pre-arranged collections until Friday, March 27 and then be suspended.

A Council spokesperson said: "As far as bin collections are concerned, please put your recycling or household waste bin out as usual this week and it should be collected as usual.

"If you subscribe to the garden waste service please put your garden waste bin out as usual.

"If you garden waste bin does not get collected when it is due, please leave it out and we will pick it up as soon as we can."

Cllr Sarah Ferriby, Executive Member for Health People and Places, said: “We are having to do all we can to prioritise essential services and our heroic front line staff are working as hard as possible to keep the district moving through this difficult time.”
