THE 13th Ilkley Beer Festival took place at the King’s Hall and Winter Gardens on Friday and Saturday with nearly 20,000 pints of beer being supped over four sessions.

Organisers Ilkley & District Round Table said: “We would like to thank all who attended the 2020 Beer Festival, your continued support is very much appreciated.”

Two thousand, five hundred people attended the event, which is the Round Table’s main fundraising event of the year.

It was made possible thanks to the hard work of 71 volunteers and 21 Round Tablers.

As well as beer, 86 bottles of wine were consumed along with 384 gins. Other drinks on sale included real cider from Nottingham.

Ninety-per cent of the beer on sale was brewed in Yorkshire. There were nine brewery bars and one London brewery bar.

Food was also available from Lishman’s of Ilkley and it is estimated 4,500 pies were eaten.

A Round Table spokesperson added: “Thank you to everyone in the local and wider community, again for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.

“Watch out for the 2021 date.”
