SIX local groups have received a funding boost thanks to Rotarians in Ilkley.
The Ilkley Wharfedale Rotary Club has shared out £1,500, raised from street collections and Rotary social events, between the recipients.
The beneficiaries were: Ilkley Good Neighbours, Ilkley Community Transport, the Ilkley Christchurch Scout Group, CABAD (Community Action Bradford and District), Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association and the Beamsley Project.
Chair of the club's Community and Vocational Committee, Peter Mate, said: "We’ve tried to support some of our smaller local charities with these donations, where we know these funds will be put to excellent use and support the many volunteers in the area who do so much good work on behalf of the community.
"These organisations are making a difference to the young, the disadvantaged, and the elderly, to people in trouble in the hills and to the community at large."
Representatives from each of the groups were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco sponsored by the Riverside Hotel, where the club holds its weekly meetings.
