AN ANIMAL charity is being supported by a Horsforth restaurant which is marking its re-opening after a two-week refurbishment.

Toby Carvery Horsforth is pledging its support to the local charity Animal ArkAid - and staff are planning a host of fundraising events and activities in the months ahead.

Rita Panayi Reid from the charity was invited to officially reopen the new look restaurant on Fink Hill after an investment which has seen the creation of ten new jobs..

Rita said: "We’re thrilled to have been given the honour of officially reopening Toby Carvery Horsforth, and to have been chosen by the restaurant as its fundraising partner is absolutely amazing.

"They have some great looking local events in the pipeline to support Animal ArkAid’s fundraising mission and we’re sure they’ll be well received within the local community."

General manager, Craig Murchie, said: "Animal ArkAid is such a great local organisation, and the work they do to help raise money for animal charities is brilliant to see. Animal ArkAid is an integral part of the local Horsforth community and have raised have raised an incredible £35,000 for animal charities since 2011. We’re really looking forward to getting stuck in and supporting their continued work."
