Rising stars in the business world are being called to a special event offering advice and guidance.

Airedale Enterprise Services is bringing its first Rising Stars business event to Ilkley next week and will offer advice to budding entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises keen to expand their existing business.

The Are You A Rising Star? event is being held at Winter Garden on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm.

Wendy Ellis, Airedale Enterprise Service business services manager, said: “The Rising Stars programme is aimed at companies capable of achieving sustainable high growth to benefit the local economy and we know that Ilkley, the Wharfe Valley and Airedale is bulging with entrepreneurs and business owners who are looking to develop their offering, but just need additional support.

“Whether it’s giving a business start-up the confidence boost they need or helping an established business create a growth strategy, Rising Stars is here to help local people realise their potential and broaden their horizons.”

Rising Stars is Bradford Council’s high-growth enterprise programme which offers support and guidance to businesses with the potential to bring sustainable employment, growth and innovation to the district.

Business advisers will be at next week’s event which will include a presentation from Ilkley-based smoothie makers FRUT, which recently benefited from Rising Stars strategy planning and support with access to finance.
