I live in Guiseley and every day walk my dogs around the area, I see lots of trees, big and small, some have been here for decades but not for much longer if we do not take care of them.

A very simple step will give them a fighting chance. There are countless trees with ivy growing up the trunks and branches. But if this is not cut at the base of the tree, the tree will eventually die as the ivy takes all the nutrients away from the tree — it acts like a leach.

It only takes a small amount of time to cut the stems away and the trees will be saved and it does not need to be taken off it can be left and will die away.
