Anyone with ideas on how Otley should celebrate the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday is asked to contact the Town Council.
Councillor Shelagh Ross would like to hear from anyone who is keen to organise an event to mark the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday, April 29.
Coun Ross, who chairs the town council’s Community and Culture Committee, said: “There must be lots of people in Otley who might want to do something special for the day and we would like to hear from them.
“Whether they want to hold a street parties in the town, organise something in the Market Place or anything else, we would ask them to get in touch to see if we can help make it happen.”
Coun Ross can be contacted by e-mailing shelaghross50@yahoo.co.uk, or by calling (01943) 461909.
Last week Ilkley Parish Council agreed to underwrite a free community celebration to the tune of £3,500.
