A girl who won support from people around the globe with her appeal to help a children’s hospice has become Young Fundraiser of the Year.
Bethany Hare, ten, won the title at a national awards ceremony in London organised by the online fundraising platform JustGiving.
The youngster had made a Charlie Chaplin style film in which she sang Smile to raise money for Martin House Hospice, near Wetherby.
She hit the headlines around the world after she fell foul of copyright laws and was ordered by an American publisher to remove the song from her webpage.
