The date has been confirmed for Burley-in-Wharfedale’s Christmas market and lights switch-on.
Both events will be on Saturday, November 27, with the market – organised by Burley and District Chamber of Trade – running in Main Street, which will be closed to through-traffic, from 2pm to 5.30pm.
Work on putting up the lights will start on Saturday, October 30.
Anyone interested in helping then or on subsequent Saturdays, until all of the illuminations are in place, should meet outside Burley Grange at 9am or later in the morning.
