The Yorkshire flags are out again in time for the region’s proudest day of the year this weekend.
The 35th official Yorkshire Day will bring music and fun to Ilkley on Sunday, August 1, and the weekend will also mark the start of a month of festivities in the Ilkley Summer Festival.
Pictured getting into the spirit of things are Councillor Brian Mann, chairman of Ilkley Parish Council, and his wife, Sylvia.
Civic dignitaries are expected to join proud Yorkshiremen and women outside Ilkley Town Hall on Sunday morning to hear the Town Crier read the Yorkshire Day declaration – traditionally followed by a rousing rendition of On Ilkla Moor Baht ‘At by all concerned.
