Sophie Wright has been selected as Addingham Gala Queen 2010.
The new gala queen and her attendants have been chosen ready for Addingham Gala this summer.
Eleven-year-old Sophie Wright will succeed Nell Carter as Addingham Gala Queen for the year, after being chosen at a disco for village children on Friday.
As well as taking pride of place in the carnival parade, she will take part in village functions through the rest of the year.
Sophie, a pupil at Addingham Primary School will be accompanied at the gala on Saturday, July 10, by her attendants, Ellie Tolan, Robert Adams and Savannah Troughton-Webb, who also attend the school.
The theme of this year’s gala is The Movies.
