Talented pupils at Moorfield School for Girls took their audience to a whole new world last week during a performance of the Lewis Carroll classic Alice in Wonderland.

The girls, who are all in Years 5 and 6, worked tirelessly to give a convin-cing production of the tale which attracted a packed audience full of proud parents, friends and grand-parents.

The show provided a public showcase for the girls’ talents as they designed everything from the set to the programmes for the show.

Headteacher Jessica Crossley said: “It was a very vibrant and colourful production and the girls even made a giant tea set which they designed and painted for the show.

“They all worked very hard and there was a full house on both nights of the production.

“Everyone really enjoyed the show which revealed just how talented all the girls are at acting and we were very pleased with the end result.”

The show was directed by director of arts at the school, Lyndsey Clark, and class teacher Karen Hall.
