ORGANISERS of Otley Carnival are appealing for volunteers to help deliver next year's event, with a range of opportunities available for people keen to support one of the town's biggest annual celebrations.
A number of key roles are currently available, including a social media co-ordinator to help promote the carnival and engage with the community online.
The volunteer position involves creating content for social media channels, sharing local stories and helping build excitement in the lead-up to the event.
Volunteers are needed to assist with its Sarah's Stars initiative, which gives local participants the chance to play a special role in the celebrations.
Successful applicants would support the existing co-ordinator in working with participants, organising activities and helping to create a memorable experience for those taking part.
In addition, the committee is looking for people willing to help with event planning, fundraising, sponsorship, community engagement, administration, communications, parade organisation and event-day marshalling.
Organisers say volunteering is a chance to meet new people, develop valuable skills and contribute to an event that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The committee hopes to hear from anyone who can spare time throughout the year, whether on a regular basis or for specific projects in the run-up to the carnival, which is due to take place on Saturday, June 19, 2027.
Anyone interested in volunteering or finding out more about the available roles can contact the Otley Carnival Committee via its website, social media channels or by emailing info@otleycarnival.co.uk.
