ILKLEY Manor House is getting ready to welcome visitors for a weekend of festive shopping, handmade gifts, Christmas music and seasonal treats as its popular Christmas Makers’ Fair returns on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, from 10am to 5pm.

Now in its ninth year, the Christmas Makers’ Fair has become a much-loved fixture in Ilkley’s festive calendar, bringing together talented local and regional artists, designers and independent makers in the beautiful surroundings of the Grade I-listed medieval Manor House.

Throughout the weekend, the historic building will be transformed into a festive shopping destination, with stalls offering an inspiring selection of handmade ceramics, jewellery, textiles, original artwork, prints, Christmas decorations, cards and unique gifts.

For anyone looking for something a little different this Christmas, the Fair offers the perfect opportunity to discover thoughtful, one-of-a-kind presents while supporting local creativity and independent businesses.

And there will be plenty more than shopping to enjoy.

Visitors can soak up the festive atmosphere with mulled wine and mince pies available to purchase, while Christmas music brings an extra touch of seasonal cheer to the historic House.

On Saturday, November 21, from 2pm, singer songwriter David Prater will perform a selection of Christmas songs, helping everyone get into the festive spirit.

Sunday, November 22 will bring a special celebration of community and culture, with members of the local Ukrainian community hosting a stall at the Fair. Visitors will also be treated to a performance at 2pm on Sunday by a Ukrainian choir, sharing the joy of music and bringing an additional cultural dimension to the weekend's festivities.

The Fair takes place during Ilkley's wider Christmas celebrations, making it an ideal opportunity for visitors to enjoy the town's festive atmosphere before discovering the unique gifts, creativity and warm welcome waiting at the Manor House.

With its centuries-old rooms beautifully decorated for Christmas, the Manor House provides a particularly atmospheric setting for the occasion, combining local heritage, creativity and community spirit.

Whether visitors are searching for the perfect Christmas present, looking to support local makers or simply wanting to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and some festive music, there will be something for everyone.

Admission is £3.
