BISTROT Pierre in Ilkley is marking Beaujolais Day on Thursday, November 19, with a celebration of wine, food, and music.

Ben Nayler, events and sales manager at Bistrot Pierre Ilkley, said: "Beaujolais Day is a real celebration in France, a chance to gather round a table and toast the new harvest, and we wanted to share that with Ilkley.

"It’s a relaxed, sociable day with great French food, a glass of the new vintage and live music from Jack O’Malley to round off the evening.

"We can’t think of a better way to start the run-up to Christmas."

Beaujolais Day is a French tradition held on the third Thursday of November each year, marking the release of the first wine of the new harvest.

Across France, bars and bistros mark the occasion with food, wine, and music.

Ilkley’s Bistrot Pierre will offer a three-course French menu and a 125ml glass of Beaujolais for £39.95 per person, available from 12pm throughout lunch and dinner.

The evening continues at The Crescent Inn, where musician Jack O’Malley will perform live from 7pm.

Beaujolais Day is known for its relaxed, sociable atmosphere and celebratory spirit.

The event is seen as a way to gather with friends, enjoy French cuisine, and toast the arrival of the new vintage.

Booking is recommended.
