POLICE officers from the Leeds District Off Road Bike Team have seized an electric off‑road bike after spotting it being ridden illegally in Esholt Woods.

During proactive patrols, officers stopped a Talaria Sting being ridden by a 15‑year‑old. Checks confirmed the rider had no driving licence or insurance, and the bike was seized.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police - Leeds North West said: "The rider will now be referred to liaison and diversion services to help prevent further offending.

"Electric off-road bikes like these are classed as motor vehicles and are not permitted in public parks and woodland areas.

"Proactive patrols will continue to tackle illegal and anti-social riding."
