BIN collection crews are experiencing delays due to the difficult weather conditions and Bradford Council is asking residents "to bear with us".
Treacherous surface conditions, especially on side streets and pavements, means not all bins are currently being collected. The council said: "Collections will only take place if it is safe to do so".
A Bradford Council spokesperson added: “When the pavements are icy it takes much longer for our crews to empty bins, and combined with the extra waste produced over the festive season, they are finding that they are taking longer to complete the round.
“If your bin hasn’t been emptied please just leave it out and our crews will try to catch up as soon as possible. If you have excess waste please place it in a tied bin bag next to your bin.
“You don’t need to ring us to report that your bin hasn’t been emptied as we are keeping records of where we need to go to complete our rounds.”
Household Waste Recycling Sites remain open if anyone wishes to take their waste there, the council added.
