A COUPLE who have lived in Guiseley for over 60 years have celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary.

The special occasion was marked with a card of congratulations from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Mr Ronald and Mrs Dorothy Cooke, married 70 years ago on May 22, 1954 at St Matthias Church, Burley, Leeds.

They lived in Horsforth and then moved to Guiseley in the early 1960s and have lived in the community ever since.

They were previously very active with St Oswald’s Church and 1st Guiseley Guides.

Their marriage has been blessed with four children: Andrew, Patricia, Helen and Richard, and eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
