DELIGHTED organisers have hailed the success of a St George's Day celebration in Keighley.
The family fun day was staged in the Airedale Shopping Centre, by Keighley Town Council.
Attractions included Punch and Judy, balloon modelling, stilt walkers, circus shows, face painting and an arts and crafts workshop run by Keighley Creative.
Town mayor, Councillor John Kirby, took a turn in the stocks.
And there was a competition to guess the number of sweets in a jar, which was donated by Cocos.
Cllr Kirby says: "The event was very well attended – it was great to see so many turn out to celebrate St George’s Day.
"Thank you to everyone who came along, all our acts and artists, and the Airedale Shopping Centre for being our venue host."
Future town council events include an 80th anniversary commemoration of D-Day, to be held in Town Hall Square on Thursday, June 6.
