The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates' Court earlier this month.

HAYDON WICK: Daniel Mafuta, of Marbeck Close, has been sentenced for three offences.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing 0.3 grams of cocaine, driving an Audi Q2 without insurance, and failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis to police when required while in Gloucester on August 26, 2023.

He has been banned from driving for 36 months, fined £320, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs plus £85 to fund victim services.

The Class A drug has been forfeited and destroyed.

TOWN CENTRE: Kayleigh Nicholls, of Clarence Street, has been sentenced for common assault of an emergency worker.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to hitting a male and female paramedic in Swindon on April 18, 2024.

She has been jailed for eight weeks due to the seriousness of the offences, the defendant's recent and increasing pattern of offending of a similiar nature, the crimes being committed during the operational period of a crown court community order and being aggravated due to assaults being on emergency worker, and because of her previous criminal record and character. 

FRESHBROOK: Vincent Hall, of Whitworth Road, has been sentenced for thefts.

The 40-year-old was found guilty of stealing a man's £400 pushbike on July 25, 2023, and taking items worth £97.41 altogether from the M&S Food in Mannington Retail Park on July 30, 2023.

He must pay £400 in compensation to the bike owner.

HIGHWORTH: Luis Hamelburg, of New Cross Road in London, has been sentenced for driving offences.

The 56-year-old pleaded not guilty but was later found guilty of driving a BMW 1 Series along Highworth Road on November 2, 2023, without a valid licence or valid insurance, and failing to comply with a red traffic light.

He received fines totalling £1,100 and six penalty points on his driving licence. The defendant must also pay £90 in court costs plus £440 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Fabio Carrazoni, of Cricklade Road, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 37-year-old drove a Mercedes Sprinter along the M4 near Junction 16 without a licence on May 20, 2023.

He received a six-month driving ban, a £40 fine, and orders to pay £90 in court costs plus £16 to fund victim services.

WILTSHIRE: Thomas Crampin, of Court Lane in Tonbridge, Kent, has been sentenced for speeding.

The 47-year-old drove an Audi RS6 along the A303 Woodbine Hill in Chicklade at more than 70mph on July 17, 2023.

He received a £670 fine, six penalty points on his driving licence, and was ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £265 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Nigel Hannon, of Chapel Street in Gorse Hill, has been sentenced for speeding.

The 56-year-old drove a Mercedes C350 along the M4 near Brinkworth at more than 70mph on July 29, 2023.

He received four penalty points on his driving licence along with a fine of £633, and must also pay £90 in court costs plus £253 to fund victim services.

PURTON: William Dorney-Bleay, of Ferndale Road, has been sentenced for driving offences.

The 19-year-old drove a Peugeot 207 along Collins Lane without a valid licence or insurance on July 15, 2023.

He received a six-month driving ban and a £120 fine, and was ordered to pay £90 in court costs as well as £46 to fund victim services.
