ILKLEY Town AFC proudly announces the upcoming celebration of 75 years on May 10th at The Craiglands Hotel, a momentous occasion that will bring together the community in commemoration of the club's rich history and contributions to local football.

The anniversary celebration will mark the milestones in the club's journey and the strong bonds between the club and the local community. A series of speeches will showcase the inclusive and community-centric spirit that defines Ilkley Town AFC. Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the club's illustrious history through photographs, memorabilia, and stories that trace the evolution of Ilkley Town AFC over the past 75 years.

Robert Brown, Chairman of Ilkley Town Amateur Football Club said: "As we celebrate 75 years we reflect on a legacy of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community support. This milestone is a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone who has been a part of our club throughout the years. Recognition will be core to the celebrations and the event will honour the club's legendary players, coaches, and volunteers who have played pivotal roles in shaping Ilkley Town AFC's success. Special tributes and presentations will acknowledge their outstanding contributions to the club's legacy. The celebration will also feature live music with performances by local band and friends of the club ‘The Finishers’ and Rombalds Radio’s Nick Babb.

From humble beginnings to a thriving community, the club has overcome challenges and evolved into a powerhouse with over 850 members, excelling across all levels. Their home ground has been certified as a UEFA Champions League quality pitch and is regarded as one of the best playing surfaces in West Yorkshire and with a semi-pro first team Ilkley Town is proudly rooted in the North West Counties Division One North.

Manager of the Men’s First Team Sam Dexter said: “Recent years have seen significant developments at the club and we are in an exciting new chapter for football in Ilkley. We have a strong and sustainable infrastructure which includes junior players, girls and women plus an increasing supporter base. Our men’s first team are now established at a semi professional level. This is the perfect opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate the achievements of the club.”
