The Friends of DalesBus, the group of volunteers supporting the unique DalesBus network of weekend bus services from West Yorkshire into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, has launched its Spring programme of guided walks, including some special “easy” walks designed to encourage people without access to their own car to get out in the Dales countryside.

“Using the bus allows us to do more interesting point-to-point walks through the Yorkshire Dales,” said Walks Co-ordinator Michael Pascal. “Many people are nervous about using the bus and lack confidence that they will get back to the bus stop in time. But with an experienced walk leader, this will not be a problem”.

Walks are free of charge, providing walkers get there by bus (maximum fare for a single journey just £2).
