Otley Townswomen's Guild have raised £1,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance this year.
The guild raised the money by holding a tombola and cake sale outside The Core in Otley, selling raffle tickets, taking part in two sponsored walks and decorating a tree for the Christmas Tree festival at Otley Parish Church.
A spokesperson for Otley Townswomen's Guild said: "The cheque was collected at our Guild meeting by Helen from Yorkshire Air Ambulance. She told us that it costs £19,000 a day to keep the two Yorkshire helicopters flying but they can reach anywhere in Yorkshire in 30 minutes!
"The Guild would love to welcome new members. Come to our Guild meeting on the first Tuesday in the month, 7.30pm at Beech Hill Church, Westgate, Otley or email marglock42@gmail.com or tel.01943 602429 for information about our interest groups ranging from gardening to walking and a lunch club."
