Clarendon Fine Art, which has 86 art galleries across the UK, opened its Ilkley gallery on The Grove in October 2023 featuring a dazzling collection of original works and limited prints by traditional artists, stunning 20th century pieces from the likes of Lowry, Damien Hurst, David Hockney, Banksy, as well as eclectic pop art and sculptures.

They offer a bespoke art consultancy service with pieces ranging from £300 to hundreds of thousands of pounds.

In the four months since opening, the gallery has welcomed many guests, both residents of the town and visitors, and sales have exceeded all expectations.

To thank the community for the warm reception they have received and to celebrate the gallery’s early success, they are holding a special art and design event on Wednesday February 28th from 6-8pm.

Special guests Holly Spiers and Laura Hitchcock, renowned interior designers, will be presenting on the theme ‘’Artwork as the start or the end to your interior design project”, highlighting which simple design tips will work in a room and how to trust one’s instincts around art and interior design.

Jayn Steele is the gallery manager and says: “We have received such a warm welcome from the Ilkley community since we moved into the town and feel very fortunate to be located on The Grove in this beautiful town, home to so many amazing shops and businesses.

“We hope to see lots of people at our art and design event on the 28th February for what we’re sure will be an enlightening, relaxed and memorable evening. We will be offering complimentary prosecco and non-alcoholic drinks and as part of the evening we’re looking forward to showing people around the gallery and showcasing our artwork and the stories behind them. We’re passionate about our pieces and we want our gallery to ignite the desire to appreciate, admire and own beautiful art.”

Clarendon Fine Art plans to build on its current success and will be organising more events in the future featuring specific artists. Because each individual gallery reflects the art favoured by the community, they are asking for feedback from the Ilkley community about which artists they should invite to future events as well as which artwork they should exhibit.
