ILKLEY Soroptimists and Ilkley Fairtrade Group are delighted to announce the return of their biennial Inspiring Women Award Event.

“This year we are looking for young women who volunteer to help others," said Karen Palframan, of Ilkley Fairtrade Group. “We’d love to hear about women who live or work in LS29, and who are aged between 16 and 25. Please let us know about the volunteering they do, and the impact they have made, so that we can celebrate them and their dedication to the local community.”

Margaret Cook, of Ilkley Soroptimists, added: “If you know anyone in this category, please collect and complete a nomination form from any of these venues: the Clarke Foley Centre, Ilkley, The Hub, Addingham, Burley and Menston Community Libraries. Alternatively, you can download the nomination form from this website: www.sigbi.org/ilkley. The nominations closing date is 22nd February.”

The Award ceremony will be held on March 14th when all the nominees will be celebrated, and the overall winner will receive a special prize.

The Soroptimists are celebrating the 80th year since the Ilkley Club was chartered, and the Fairtrade Group is celebrating 30 years of the Fairtrade Mark.
