THE 2nd Otley Cubs recently completed their Christmas good turn by raising money for the Otley Food Bank.

A representative from the food bank explained to the Cubs about the work that they did all year round and the type of food that they needed, especially in the run up to Christmas.

The Cubs then used their funds to go shopping to buy food for the food bank. The food bank provides food parcels to vulnerable families and individuals within the area.

Posting on their Facebook page a spokesperson for Otley Food Banks said: "Massive thank you to the two 2nd Otley cub packs, who fundraised to allow them to shop for the foodbank. They went to Sainsbury's and Asda and bought an impressive amount of food to donate. Also they had a great deal of fun!"

Otley Food Bank donations can be left at Sainsburys, Waitrose, The Core, The Original Factory Shop and most churches in Otley.
