A MAN's body was found on land near Bolton Abbey on Sunday, a North Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed.

He said: “On Sunday, November 26, concerns were raised about a man from West Yorkshire who was missing.

“Officers from North Yorkshire Police were involved in the search and shortly after 12pm they discovered a body in the Bolton Abbey area. 

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the coroner in due course.

“The man’s family are being supported by the police. “

The police called the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association and volunteers went to the location to help recover the body.

No other information has been released.
