ILKLEY’S historic King's Hall & Winter Garden is to open its doors again this Christmas for a free open day full of festive fun.

Following the success last year's event, this year's will be on Sunday, December 10th between 11am and 3pm.

Entertainment on stage will include the return of the Voices of Yorkshire Choir, singing a selections of Christmas favourites and songs from the choir’s new charity album, along with a performance from pupils at Ilkley’s All Saints’ Primary School.

For the kids there will be a chance to hunt for the mischievous elves hiding on shelves and collect a present as a reward.

Guided heritage tours of the traditional Edwardian theatre will also take place, with access to all areas and a chance to have a look behind the scenes to immerse yourself in the history of the building.

Once again, a charity raffle will give a chance to win a selection of prizes donated by local businesses and this year funds raised will be split between the LS29 Special Needs Group and Ilkley & District Good Neighbours.

The open day will also give anyone looking for a unique venue to hold an event - whether it be a stage show, conference, ceremony or a celebration like a wedding - a chance to look at what the King’s Hall & Winter Garden has to offer and talk to the team.

The open day takes place on Sunday 10th December, 11am to 3pm and organisers say everyone is welcome.
