Colin Speakman talk at Burley-in-Wharfedale Library

Colin Speakman is an award-winning outdoor writer, co-creator of the Dales Way, an environmental campaigner and a poet who lives in Burley-in-Wharfedale.

His most recent book, The Lost Chronicles of York, will be presented in a fully-illustrated talk, using a variety of verse forms and stories to give often surprising insight into aspects of Yorkshire history.

This includes several pieces, sometimes humorous, inspired by the countryside around Burley and in the Yorkshire Dales during and after the pandemic.
