FORMER Calendar presenter Geoff Druett will be the host at an afternoon of words and music to be held in Menston on Remembrance Sunday.
He will be joined by Marjorie Lofthouse, a broadcaster who has worked on both BBC radio and TV.
The event, Roses of Picardy, will feature The Occasion Choir of York, directed by Yvonne Robert, and will feature words and music to celebrate the season of Remembrance.
It will take place at St John’s Church, Menston, at 3pm on Sunday, November 12.
Tickets, to include a glass of fizz and cakes, are £8 and can be booked by calling 07956 879726 – or bought on the door.
Proceeds are for St John’s church funds.
