THE bowls season has come to an end and Burley-in-Wharfedale Bowls Club has enjoyed a very successful season.
Members of the club were recently pictured behind winning captains Marie Drysdale, who captained the winners of the Carlisle Shield; Mark Ullock, who captained the A team winners of the Wednesday Division One Pairs and Brian Wheeler, who captained the Tuesday pairs winners. Not pictured is Brian Wardle, who captained the B team Wednesday pairs winners, Division Two.
The club has made great strides in recent years and is planning to have floodlights installed for the 2024 winter season as part of their development. The club plan two winter leagues during late autumn 2023 and winter 2024 on Tuesdays and Fridays.
