AN ALTERNATIVE therapist will set foot in Ilkley this month to demonstrate how she has managed to get television personalities to bare all.

Reflexologist Jane Sheehan knocked the socks off TV's This Morning presenter Fern Britten, and looked into the soles' of Big Brother housemates, with her skills in foot reading.

She plans to share some of secrets of her unusual skill in seminar at Ilkley Healing Centre on Saturday, July 26, followed by a practice workshop the following day.

Tickets are already on sale now, and are expected to go quickly.

Foot reading was recently listed in the Sunday Times' Top Ten Health Trends for 2008. The seminar and the workshop, at the centre on Nelson Road, costs £70 per day.

According to her first book, Let's Read Our Feet, the shape of a person''s feet and toes can tell us a lot about our personalities and also help us improve areas of our lives that we are unhappy with.

The Ilkley event coincides with the launch of her second book, The Foot Reading Coach.

She said: "We are all used to changing our facial expressions and hiding our true feelings, but we can't do that with our feet they tell the truth.

"Simply by analysing the shapes of feet and toes, we can tell an awful lot about a person."

Puffiness at the base of the fourth toe can apparently indicate relationship problems that are not being discussed, while a big toe bending towards the little one indicates that the person is doing too much for others.

Jane Sheehan has made several high-profile television appearances. She appeared on Today with Des and Mel, along with Lee Ryan from Blue and Fern Britten, before being invited back to the This Morning programme.

She read the feet of some of Big Brother housemates, as is expected to appear on Big Brother's Little Brother again in future.

Presenter, Dermot O'Leary has asked her to appear on his Channel 4 breakfast show, Morning Glory She has also made a number of television appearances in Australia, Dubai and the United States.

Tickets for the seminar and workshop are available by calling (07739) 802175.
