POLICE have launched an arson investigation after two cars were set on fire resulting in the blaze spreading to two homes in Menston.

An extensive response from the emergency services saw the police and three engines and an aerial ladder from the fire service called at 11.20pm last night (Monday) to the scene at Dick's Garth Road, Menston.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called by fire service colleagues to an address on Dick's Garth Road in Menston shortly after 11:20pm last night following reports that two vehicles had been set on fire.

"The blaze had subsequently spread to two nearby properties.  

"Nobody was injured as a result of the incident which is being investigated as arson."

Otley, Rawdon, and Shipley fire stations and an aerial ladder from Bradford fire station were all called to the scene.

Although two homes were directly affected by the fire, smoke reportedly damaged another home.
