MEMBERS from Addingham Parish Council took advantage of the beautiful evening sunshine to plant two native Oak trees at the corner of Big Meadow Drive and Silsden Road.
The Coronation Oaks have been affectionately dubbed Charles and Camila by councillors and it was the job of retired Councillor, Alan Jerome MBE, to plant them. The trees are marked by a commemorative stone, expertly created by local stone mason, Chris Swales.
Vice Chairman, Catherine Coates said: "We are all very proud to be here this evening, planting trees as a gift to the village to be enjoyed for years to come. Special thanks to Alan Jerome, who retired from the Parish Council in May after 50 years as a Parish Councillor."
